PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device which quickly and appropriately retrieves information that a user is most interested in according to a use history of the user. SOLUTION: This device includes a providable data storage part 8 for storing information that can be provided, an operation history data storage part 10 for storing use history information, a word dictionary 6 for making the word correspond to a word characteristic vector for indicating the characteristic of the word respectively and storing them, an extraction processing part 36 for extracting information which can be provided and a word included in the use history information, a vector generation processing part 38 for generating a characteristic vector every use history information on the basis of a word vector corresponding to the extracted word, a clustering processing part 40 for classifying the use history information on the basis of a distance of the characteristic vector, and a retrieval processing part 46 which retrieves information in which the user is most interested from the information that can be provided on the basis of the classified use history information.
