PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a belt transporting mechanism of photographic processing device which facilitates the management of the clearance of a transporting surface. SOLUTION: This belt transporting mechanism of photographic processing device 1 is so constituted that an upper transporting belt 5a of an endless annular form wound between a drive roller 3a and a driven roller 4a, a lower transporting belt 5b of an endless annular form wrapped between a drive roller 3b and a driven roller 4b are arranged to face each other and that paper is inserted between these belts and is transported. In such a case, since the rollers 3a and 3b are arranged to be offset from each other in the transporting direction B and the inter-axis distance between the drive rollers 3a and 3b in a direction perpendicular to the transporting surface A of the paper 1 is reduced to be smaller than the total of the radii R of both rollers and the thicknesses T of both belts, the management of the clearance of the transporting surface A is facilitated.
