PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and highly accurately position a continuous member by a simple process and with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A mark detecting station 57a is provided on the downstream side of a mark forming station 55a to form a mark part 53 at a first continuous member 50, and the mark part 53 is detected through a CCD camera 174 by the mark detecting station 57a. The deviation value of the mark part 53 is calculated based on detected information, and after an average value is calculated by integrating the deviation value for the specified number of times, the tact carrying amount of a main field drum 158 is corrected based on a value obtained by dividing the average value by 13 which is a pitch number.
