PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adsorb and hold a specified amount of a chemical liquid or the like, and at the same time, prevent the constituent member from being peeled by forming a cylindrical liquid-holding section, wherein an end section having a slit in the axial direction is opened, at the tip end of a bar-shape body. SOLUTION: For this holding member for a chemical liquid e, at the tip end section 2 of a bar-shape body 1, wherein, e.g. the length in the axial direction is approx. 85 mm, and the diameter of the maximum section is approx. 2.0 to 3.0 mm, a cylindrical liquid-holding section 4, wherein an end section having a plurality of slits 3 in the axial direction is opened, is formed. In this case, the bar-shape body 1 is formed of a synthetic resin such as polypropylene, or an ABS resin, and is integrally die- formed together with the tip end section 2. By this constitution, the holding member for a chemical liquid or the like, the chemical liquid or the like can be adsorbed and held by the cylindrical liquid-holding section 4, wherein the end section having the slits 3 in the axial direction is opened, by using a capillary phenomenon. Then, a specified amount, in concrete, a small amount of approx. several milligrams to several ten milligrams of the chemical liquid or the like can be accurately adsorbed and held. Also, the held chemical liquid or the like can be discharged by simply touching an objective such as a lesion.
