<p>Several multimedial acquisition stations (A1, A2, ...) receive television signals from respective selected channels, and extract from them audio signals for generating successive digital files, each comprising an audio segment of a predetermined duration; moreover, they extract video signals for acquiring from them fixed screenshots at each change of scene or after a predetermined time interval from the previous screenshot, each screenshot being converted into an image file. Finally, each station periodically generates an index file containing a set of hypertextual links pointing to said audio and video files. The audio, video and index files are stored by a server (S) in its mass storage, and are accessible from one or more video terminals (T1, T2, ...) which are linked to the server, using a browser program for reading the index files and consequently the audio and video files. <IMAGE></p> |
