The invention relates to a housing or a part thereof for a distance sensor, especially for motor vehicles, consisting of at least one housing part (1) wherein at least one body which is transparent to the rays of the sensor and which is used to focus the sensor rays (3) and/or at least one radome which is not prefocused to any desired parameter are integrated, in the direction of the sensor's principal ray, in addition to at least one second housing part (2) in which at least one base plate (6) with antenna parts (8) can be mounted orthogonally to the direction of the principal rays of the distance sensor, whereby the line (16) connecting the first housing part (1) to the second housing part (2) extends in an area between the base plate (6) and the body (3) which is transparent to the rays of the sensor and/or to the radome, whereby at least one connecting plug (12) is provided to produce electric connection (13, 14) between the distance sensor and the vehicle. The connecting line (16) is situated in the area of the connecting plug (12) of said distance sensor. Said connecting plug (12) is oriented coaxially relative to the direction of the principal rays of the distance sensor.
