The warmed crude gas in a secondary gas sample preparation is cooled in the cooling stages. The flow of the cooled crude gas is divided in a by-pass current and measured in a measurement gas flow before treatment in a downstream measuring instrument at a dew point until the crude gas is dried. The dead time for a crude gas sampling is adjusted when obtaining predetermined quantity of a crude gas sample. The method involves conducting an extraction probe, arranged in a crude line conductor (1), after the removal of a crude gas under pressure from a crude gas system. A predetermined amount of washing medium e.g. steam or water in the corresponding pressure level at a predetermined temperature is added to the crude gas. The polluted crude gas is dampened in a primary gas sample preparation and is cooled in a cooling and washing stage (2) and another cooling stage. A pre-cooled crude gas is filtered in a fine-pored filter. The relaxation of the filtered crude gas is performed by a power limited pressure controller. The relaxed crude gas is warmed up to a predetermined temperature.
