PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof structure for which work of coupling casing members by a screw clamp can be dispensed with and in which a packing can uniformly be pressed by the casing members throughout the entire circumference of the packing, so that favorable waterproof performance can be provided. SOLUTION: A case 3 and a lid 4, which are superposed on each other with a packing 5 interposed between the mating portions of both the case 3 and the lid 4, are inserted into an inner space of a cylindrical cover 2. A size of the height of the inner space of the cover 2 is set smaller than that of a switch main body 1 comprising the case 3, the packing 5 and the lid 4 which are superposed on one another. When the switch main body 1 is inserted into the inner space of the cover 2, the packing 5 is elastically deformed by size differences, and a favorable degree of close adhesion of the case 3 and the lid 4 with the packing 5 can be provided, thus providing high waterproof performance.
