PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a change anvil fixing device of an outside micrometer at a low cost in which measurement does not become unstable later on and a fixing surface and a measurement surface can be formed accurately. SOLUTION: In this change anvil fixing device of an outside micrometer, a cylindrical anvil bush 3 is joined to a frame base end portion 1, a fastening screw 4 is inserted from the outside of the bush 3, and a change anvil 6 is fixed to the tip portion of the screw 4. An external thread part 4b is molded integrally with the tip part of the screw 4, and an internal thread hole 7 is formed in the fixing surface against which the inside end surface of the bush 3 abuts. The external thread part 4b is screwed into the internal thread hole 7, and the fixing surface 8 is closely brought into contact with the inside end surface.
