PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition capable of well fixing a hairstyle and providing good cosmetic characteristics without powder effects. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises a silicone/acrylic acid copolymer obtained by a radical mediating polymerization of (a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of (b) at least one silicone derivative containing an oxyalkylene group and a conditioning agent selected from a cationic polymer, a cationic or an amphiphlic surfactant, an organosiloxane, a straight-chain or a branched 8-300C hydrocarbon, a straight- chain or a branched 8-30C fatty alcohol, an ester of an 8-30C fatty acid and a 1-30C alcohol and an ester of a 1-7C acid or a 1-7C bivalent acid and an 8-30C fatty alcohol or a ceramide or a ceramide analog in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
