PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of ensuring the fixing of a bobbin at all times regardless of a size of the bobbin particularly in the cleaning of the bobbin. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device for suppressing and centering the bobbin vertically directed, mounted on a conveying disc, and having the yarn residue. The yarn residue is removed from the bobbin in a bobbin cleaning device, and a centering rod shiftable in the height direction fixes the bobbin during a cleaning process. The centering rod 12 is connected to a switching device capable of automatically fitting a working height (h) of the centering rod 12 to a length of each supplied bobbin 3. A latch means 20 is mounted for surely locking the centering rod 12 to each working height of the centering rod.
