PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the reference value of an exhaust gas containing a volatile organic compound(VOC) being generated in the drying process of every manufacturing facilities, an unburned gas containing CO with high concentration, and the self-generated NOx in a deodorization device to a reguratory standard or less, and to eliminate a harmful malodor constituent such as malodor. SOLUTION: In a direct combustion type deodorization device 1 with a high convection combustion mixing chamber 2, an inlet 3 of gas to be treated being introduced into the high convection combustion mixing chamber 2 is provided at right angle to the longitudinal direction of the direct-combustion deodorization device 1, at the same time, a high-speed combustion type burner 4 is provided on a side wall surface 2b of the high convection combustion mixing chamber 2, the gas to be treated and a combustion gas are agitated and mixed in the high convection combustion mixing chamber 2 for forming an eddy shape by the jet force of the combustion gas of the burner 4, and mixing is accelerated.
