METHOD OF PURIFYING SEGMENTATION TAG AND SYSTEM OF PROCESSING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segmentation tag processing method for reducing an artifact caused by erroneous classification or a sudden change in picture classification. SOLUTION: In a block tag cleaner 100, a plurality of segmentation tags are given to a tab analysis module 102 and a segmentation tag with a weak connection among the tags is identified there. Then a connection configuration element generator 104 identifies connection configuration elements. A tag generator 108 generates a representative tag at every connection configuration element on the basis of the statistics collected by a statistic collection module 106 and a previously defined heuristic rule. Then a tag replacement module 110 replaces the selected segmentation tag in the connection configuration element by a purified segmentation tag which is generated as a function of the value of a representative tag and the selected tag.
