PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that can transmit/receive a message with a simple operation. SOLUTION: A data memory 14 stores information by which correspondence between a telephone number of an opposite portable telephone and a telephone number of a message center to which an opposite party belongs. In the case that the opposite party transmits a character message and sending a reply message to the message center to which the opposite party belongs, the information stored in the data memory 14 is referenced to obtain the telephone number of the message center.
