The outer edges of the two leaves (2,3) of the door abut together when the door is closed. A horizontally-moving bolt with a sloping face (30) on the first door engages in a striker plate (21) in the second door. There is a handle in each door which moves vertical rods (15,19) in each adjacent door edge, to engage the top of the door frame and sockets in the floor, to hold the two leaves of the door closed, and the handle in the second door operates the horizontally-moving bolt. |
