PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform desirable light shielding for a flat-ring type lighting device. SOLUTION: This lighting device is equipped with an annular main body and an annular light guide 2, which is provided to the main body and projects light by the light guide 2 nearly on the center of a circle along a plane crossing the axis of the main body almost at right angles. A light-shielding member 40, which cuts off light in a range of a specific angle in the circumferential direction as to the light projected by the light guide 2, is provided on the inner peripheral side of the light guide 2 or is provided freely detachably.
