PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing catch basin by which the catch basin can be easily constructed and its scene can be improved. SOLUTION: The main body 4 of the catch basin is formed of an FRP and, in addition, the connecting pipe section 11 at the lower end of the main body 4 is formed in a bent form, with its front end side being directed in the lateral direction. Consequently, the catch basin can be easily constructed, because the main body 4 can be carried and handled easily due to its reduced weight. In addition, since a drainage pipe is laid in such a way that the pipe is extended closely to the lower surfaces of, for example, floor slabs of a bridge when the lateral pipes of the drainage pipe are directly connected to the front end side of the connecting pipe section 11, the scene is improved. The bent connecting pipe section 11 is manufactured in such a way that, after the section 11 is formed in a straight pipe, the section 11 is cut halfway obliquely to the axial center of the section 11 and the cut bodies of the section 11 are again coupled with each other by bringing the cut faces of the cut bodies into contact with each other after the front-side cut body is turned around the axial center.
