PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling material for a pillow which solves the problems in a prior art and has an improved pleasant usability, and which can be easily treated and has improved performances such as moisture absorbing and discharging properties, variations in thermal conductivity, surface smoothness, easily burning characteristics, biodegradability, etc., and which can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: This filling material for a pillow comprises granular materials composed of cellulose derivatives and polyhydric alcohol.
