PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method and a device therefor not generating problems such as liquid sagging and adhesion and efficiently applying the coat ing of optional constitutions (multicolor, multilayer, many kinds of materials, and the like) and also on optional sites (ceilings, walls, floors, and the like). SOLUTION: The coating method and the coating device therefor are provided with a coating tool 27, a tool positioning means 20 for moving the coating tool 27 along the surface of a material to be coated, a material feed means for feeding a coating material composed of a chain reaction energy ray curing resin composition of one or more kinds containing a photopolymerization resin and a photopolymerization initiation agent substance and/or another coating material composed of a mixture of the above energy ray curing resin composition with other raw materials of one or more kinds to the coating tool 27 and an energy ray emission means 26 for emitting the energy rays on the coating material applied by the coating tool 27.
