PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rubber shoes which are easy to walk without causing fatigue by providing a sole construction of the rubber shoes wherein the sole has appropriate rigidity and deformation properties. SOLUTION: A shape retaining material 2 is adhered on an upper side of a sole body 1' of the rubber shoe (a), an inner core 3 composed of an expanded rubber is formed thereon by expansion molding, and three layers comprising the sole body 1', the shape retaining material 2 and the inner core 3 are integrally adhered to form a shoe sole 1. A pressure which is applied when the inner core 3 is expanded is received by the rigidity of the shape retaining material 2 to prevent the sole body 1' from evaginating. Rigidity and elasticity are given to the shoe sole by the elastic inner core 3 and the shape retaining material 2 having shape retaining properties, and thereby sufficient rigidity and cushioning properties of the shoe sole 1 are achieved.
