PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hook for fastening a rope capable of efficiently carrying out installation operation of spore collector of laver at a low cost even in a small-scale culture farm. SOLUTION: This rope for fastening a rope is characterized in that a rope connection part 5 for connecting and fixing the end part of the rope is formed at one end of a long laminar body 1, a rope nipping channel 6 is formed in the length direction at approximately the center of the laminar body 1, a nipping and holding part 7 communicating with a side edge outer part of the laminar body 1 is formed at the side end part of the rope connection part 5 of the rope nipping channel 6, further an oblong laminar body 1 is curvedly formed approximately along the circumferential face of a strut C fastening the rope R or a bent part 2' is arranged approximately along the strut C. This method for fastening the rope comprises connecting the rope R to the rope connection part 5 of the hook for fastening the rope, winding the rope R around the strut several times, piling the laminar body 1 on the wound part and nipping the rope in the rope nipping channel 6 so as to fasten the rope R.
