摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat sensing apparatus capable of accurately determining, by means of a simple arrangement, whether or not a child seat is mounted on a vehicle seat. SOLUTION: A pressurization conducting cable 30 which has both side ends deflected upwardly relative to its center when load from above is imposed near the center of the seat cushion 26 of the vehicle seat 10 along the cross direction of the vehicle is buried near a surface cover inside the seat cushion 26. The pressurization conducting cable 30 is designed to stop circulation of current when its ends are deflected at acute angles. Generally, the hip of an occupant making contact with the vehicle seat 10 is round, while the end of the bottom face of a CRS is angular. Therefore, when the CRS is mounted on the vehicle seat 10, the pressurization conducting cable 30 undergoes deflection with a small radius of curvature matching the shape of the end of the bottom face of the CRS. Thus, the degree of deflection of the pressurization conducting cable 30 at which circulation of the current stops is set appropriately, whereby determination can be made as to whether or not the CRS is mounted on the vehicle seat 10.
