PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition exhibiting suppressed shrinkage especially in the extrusion molding of a system compounded with silica as a reinforcing filler. SOLUTION: This rubber composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component containing 3-15 wt.% trans-polybutadiene having a trans-bond content of 82-98% and a weight-average molecular weight of 3×104 to 50×104 and (B) 30-150 pts.wt. of a rubber-reinforcing filler containing >=30 wt.% silica.
