PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely press and hold paper monies held in a paper money storage device and to prevent paper monies from jumping out of a paper money storage safe when collected. SOLUTION: This paper money storage device is equipped with a main body, the paper money storage safe which stores paper monies, and a paper money carrying-in means which carries thown-in paper monies in the paper money storage safe and the paper money storage safe is provided with paper money jumping-out preventing means which prevents paper monies from jumping out. Further, the device is equipped with a paper money pressure plate which is supported movably in the carrying-in direction of the paper monies and presses and holds the stored paper monies and this preventing means guides the paper money pressure plate in its moving direction.
