PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that usable interfaces for many devices are predetermined to cable/radio, the device with the cable and radio interfaces selects the cable/radio when a system is set, and, for example, an installing place of a printer is limited by cable length when the place is intended to be temporarily changed when the printer with the cable and radio interfaces is connected by cable and the system setting must be changed when the radio interface is intended to be used in a radio interface such as infrared data communications and a cable interface such as a centro port used in an interface controller to perform interdevice communications by a computer and peripheral devices, etc. SOLUTION: This interface controller is constituted by providing one device with two radio circuits and providing a means to switch the interdevice communications to the radio interface via the radio circuit detached from the cable interface and via the radio circuit in the device when one radio circuit mounted on a cable end connector is detached from the device.
