PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber roller for fixing which can secure nip width without using sponge rubber and can attain low thermal capacity. SOLUTION: The rubber roller for fixing is distinguished by that a core bar 12 and an elastic layer 14 made of nonfoamed rubber 14a which is disposed at an outer periphery of the core bar 12, has an outer peripheral surface of a prescribed outside diameter and is adjusted to prescribed thermal capacity per unit volume by incorporating a filler 14b of low density and low specific heat therein are provided.
