PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent monochromatic image by arranging an image forming part forming the monochromatic image and a color image forming part forming a color image as different units in a color image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 is constituted so that the color image forming part 20 and the monochromatic image forming part 10 are separately arranged. In the image forming part 20, three image forming means 30... are arranged for a belt type intermediate transfer body 21 and a three-color toner image is formed and transferred on paper by using a transfer roller 26. After the color image is transferred on the paper at a color image transfer part 20a, a black toner image is superposed and transferred by a monochromatic image transfer part 10a arranged at the downstream side of the transfer part 20a so as to produce a full-color copy. In the case of a monochromatic copy, only the image forming part 10 is used.
