PURPOSE: A refrigerator with food menu and cooking method informing function is provided, in which food menu and its cooking method are informed every 24 hours, to thereby allow a user to enjoy cooking and achieve user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body with one or more chilling chambers; a door for opening/closing the chilling chamber; a display unit(11) installed to either the main body or the door; a memory(17) for storing information data including year, month, date and time; a control unit(19) for displaying the information data stored in the memory onto the display unit in accordance with the current year, month, date and time; and a selection button for allowing a user to input command so as to select a food menu and cooking method corresponding to the current date or a specific date. The display unit includes a liquid crystal screen(23) for receiving character data from a character data processing section(13) of the control unit and displaying characters for user recognition, and a speaker(25) for receiving voice data from a voice data processing section(15) of the control unit and producing voice for user recognition.
