CENTER RAIL MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF SLIDE DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an appearance of a center rail for slide door at a side surface of car body. SOLUTION: In the center rail mounting structure, a recessed portion 1 horizontally extending along a lower edge of a window QW opening at a side surface of car body is formed and a center rail 2 for guiding a slide door is provided on the recessed portion 1. The center rail 2 is vertically divided and is constituted by an upper rail member 3 and a lower rail member 4. The upper rail member 3 is fixed to an upper portion of the recessed portion 1 and is covered with an extending portion 70 of a lower edge of an opaque window glass 7. After the slide door is mounted to the side surface of car body and the car body is painted, the lower rail member 4 painted to a color different from that of the car body is mounted so as to cover a lower portion of the recessed portion 1.
