PURPOSE: A fire retardant composition is provided which is applied to paper, fiber, cable, construction materials to give fire retardancy, deodorizing and antibacterial effect and is harmless to a human body. And a fire retardant polymer containing thereof is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The fire retardant composition comprises: (i) 5-15 wt.% of phosphoric acid; (ii) 3-10 wt.% of sodium phosphate; (iii) 3-15 wt.% of zeolite; and (iv) 65-89 wt.% of water. The fire retardant composition further contains 0.5-4 wt.% of far-infrared rays ceramic powder or 0.5-6 wt.% of zinc sulfate regarding the total weight of the composition. The fire retardant polymer comprises: (i) 10-40 wt.% of the fire retardant composition powder; and (ii) 60-90 wt.% of polymer. |
