PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a difficulty in removing foreign matter which has an easy tendency to putrefaction, intrudes into rice and produces the cooked rice having poor taste when the next washing work is carried out in the state that the foreign matter, such as bran and rice, generated in washing of the rice is adhered to the inside wall of a washing tank in the conventional rice cleansing and cooking device which is generally fixed with the upper part of the washing tank internally equipped with a rotating agitation device. SOLUTION: The rice cleansing and cooking device is arranged with a rice storage section A, a washing section B having the washing tank 1 formed to a cylindrical shape of a vertical axial center and a rice cooking section C in this order successively from the upper side and is provided with the washing tank 1 in such a manner that approximately the entire part of the tank is attachable and removable to and from below the case.
