PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record the image of an electronic endoscope in an electronic endo scope system having a plurality of electronic endoscopes and display a recorded image in comparison with an image being picked up at present on a TV moni tor. SOLUTION: RGB component video signals R1, G1, B1 and R2, G2, B2 from respective first and the second electronic endoscopes are inputted to a video switching device 10. One of the inputted RGB component video signals of the endoscopes is selected in switching circuits 11r, 11g and 11b and recorded into image memories 14r, 14g and 14b. The selection of the switching circuits 11r to 11b are switched over and the switched over video images are displayed on the TV monitor 25. A digital process circuit 15 generates a video signal for displaying images recorded in the image memories 14r to 14b and the video image of the electronic endoscope device, which is selected by the changeover devices 11r to 11b in a single image and outputs it to the TV monitor 25.
