PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which can make disk rotation faster even when made thinner and lighter by providing a vibration-proof support structure which stabilizes a balancer for correcting deviation of the center of gravity of the disk. SOLUTION: The disk device has a unit mechanism 1 system which has a rotary driving mechanism 3 and an optical pickup 4 and is supported by vibration-proof legs 5, whose rigidity is determined by the position of the center of gravity of the unit mechanism 1 and the fitting position or angle of a beltlike FPC 11 connecting the unit mechanism 1 and a device control board 10 together. This disk device can make circular the in-surface vibration locus of the unit mechanism as an item necessary to correct deviation of the center of gravity by the balancer when a disk which is eccentric in the center of gravity is used and thus the disk rotation can be made stabler and faster.
