PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to set the target address of a track jump and a range wherein reproduction can not be performed expands as to a method which uses a forcible track jump in order to jump over a flaw or black dot. SOLUTION: A reproduction fault detecting circuit 11 detects a reproduction position on a disk being jumped over repeatedly in such a case and the tracking control state of an optical head is so set that the reproduction position is displaced in the opposite direction from the direction of the disk which has the jump repeatedly. Consequently, each time when a reproduction fault that a jump is repeatedly made in the inner peripheral direction of the disk owing to a flaw or black dot is generated, the tracking control state is set into a state wherein the reproduction position is easy to displace to the outer peripheral direction of the disk and the reproduction position on the disk is jumped over the flaw or black dot to continue the reproduction.
