PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily supply water to the exhaust heat recovery boiler of a compound plant in a short time without stopping a prime mover such as a gas turbine. SOLUTION: The combined plant CC is provided with the gas turbine GT as the prime mover and the exhaust heat recovery boiler HRSG. The exhaust heat recovery boiler HRSG includes economizers LEC and HEC for heating supplied water by using the exhaust gas of the gas turbine GT, steam drums LD and HD to which the supplied water heated by the economizers LEC and HEC enters and evaporators LEV and HEV connected to the steam drums LD and HD. Then, when water is supplied to the exhaust heat recovery boiler HRSG, the water is directly supplied to the steam drums LD and HD without using the economizers LEC and HEC and then supplied to the economizers LEC and HEC.
