PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clogging preventing device for the heat exchanger of a work machine capable of automatically removing the refuse or the like clogged in the heat exchanger without requiring manual actions and automatically preventing the clogging of the heat exchanger in the work machine having the heat exchanger such as an air-cooled radiator or an oil cooler. SOLUTION: This clogging preventing device is provided with a driving means reversibly driving a fan normally rotated in the forward direction for generating the cooling air fed to the heat exchanger and a control means controlling the driving means. The fan is reversed by the control means to reverse the flowing direction of the cooling air, and the refuse or the like is blown off and removed.
