PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems in a conventional hot water storage type heat exchanger generating the private part washing water for a sanitary washing device that the heater of the hot water storage type heat exchanger is controlled according to the set temperature of the washing water immediately after a power supply is turned on, thus the current flowing in indoor wires is temporarily increased for a plurality of toilets installed in a building, and new wiring work for increasing the current capacity of the indoor wires is required accordingly. SOLUTION: This sanitary washing device is provided with a heat exchanger generating the private part washing water, a switching means setting a control mode, and a control circuit controlling the heater of the heat exchanger. The excitation control of the heat exchanger is started after a delay of a prescribed period according to the setting of the switching means when the power supply is turned on, thereby such an advantage is attained that a plurality of sanitary washing devices can be used without augmenting the wiring work or increasing the current capacity of a current breaker.
