PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a calculation amount and a scale of hardware in decoding a Reed-Muller code using a mask symbol. SOLUTION: A majority decision is made in codes from which a mask pattern is removed, and a decoded code is subjected to a Reed-Muller code, and an operation of obtaining a Euclidean distance between the former and a received code signal is carried out in all mask patterns, so as to obtain the mask pattern that the Euclidean distance is minimal.
