PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxygen absorbing resin composition containing an oxygen absorbent in a high concentration. SOLUTION: An oxygen absorbing resin composition comprising 70-97 wt.% of an iron-based absorbent and 3-30 wt.% of a maleic anhydride modified polyolefin having 15-40 acid value is mixed with a thermoplastic resin to give a resin composition having oxygen absorption, which is used as a filmy or sheetlike deoxidizer or an oxygen absorption layer of an oxygen absorbing multilayered body. Consequently since the oxygen absorbent is uniformly dispersed, an industrial continuous production is made possible and a resin composition for an oxygen absorption layer having improved bad appearance and dispersion of oxygen absorption function is provided without causing reduction in mechanical characteristics and damaging moldability, etc.
