<p>A receiving device comprising a demodulator for simultaneous equalization and error correction as in the UDMV, and a transmitting device for transmitting data to the receiving device. The receiving device has an improved error rate characteristic of demodulated data improve by correcting a burst error even if fading causing the burst error is present in the circuit. The transmitting device (100) distributes transmission data to carrier waves of a plurality of different frequencies, and transmits the distributed waves through a plurality of systems discriminated by the frequencies. The receiving device (150) obtains the demodulated data by combining the received signals at the maximum ratio in a combining unit (153) and by performing equalization and viterbi decoding simultaneously in a UDMV (154).</p> |
