摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of controlling the position of a crane by surely stopping the crane at a proper position in a method and device for controlling the position of the crane. SOLUTION: The crane is comprised of left and right traveling bodies 13 and 14 connected by two connecting structures 11 and 13 to travel along a prescribed guideline 22, and a trolley 19 supported to travel along the connecting structures 11 and 12. After the crane is stopped in traveling by the traveling bodies 13 and 14, if the value of relative displacement ed of the connecting structures 11 and 12 is larger than a standard value of the relative displacement et, it is judged that warps are generated in the connecting structures 11 and 12 and the crane is not stopped in a proper condition. Then a motor 18 for the traveling is driven to proceed or retreat the traveling body 14 so that the relative displacement ed will be eliminated.
