Timing for switching main and auxiliary switches is properly controlled to effect soft switching in both of the main and auxiliary switches. The control circuit of an electric power conversion system is so designed that before a turn-on signal is given to the main switch and when a current is flowing from an input reactor to the main switch, a turn-on signals is given to first and second auxiliary switches and the current from an output terminal is led to a resonance inductor by the turn-on of the first and second auxiliary switches. The resonance produced by a resonance circuit formed by the resonance inductors and a snubber capacitor causes the current in the resonance inductor to increase to reach the current in the input reactor. When the voltage across the main switch becomes approximately zero, a turn-on signal is given to the main switch.
|
