PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container having a round contour of a cylindrical surface of a body at least on a bottom side in which a stable seating surface is easily formed, and the appearance is improved. SOLUTION: In this paper container 10 comprising the body 11 and a lid 12, side plates 13 and 14 are fixed to a side surface of the body 11 and a side surface of the lid 12, the side plates 13 and 14 have expansion parts 13A and 14A expanded outward of the contour of a round portion of the body 11 on the bottom side of the cylindrical surface, and the seating surface 15 of a single flat shape is formed of the expansion parts 13A and 14A of the side plates 13 and 14.
