PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor with a propeller or fins coaxially with its revolving shaft, to generate wind by the rotation of the spindle motor and to act this wind on heating elements, such as a pickup device, a motor, electric circuits or the like, such that these heating elements can be cooled. SOLUTION: This disk drive assembly has a turntable 424 which is attachably and detachably mounted with an optical disk 41 and the spindle motor 23 which has the revolving shaft 23c mounted with this turntable 24. The revolving shaft 23c of the spindle motor 23 is provided thereon with the fins 42 or propeller 43 rotated integrally with the revolving shaft 23c.
