PURPOSE: Provided are a device and a method for a long storage of cereals and animal feed by using N2 gas which is safe and abundant(70%) in the nature. By replacing the air in the storage tank by nitrogen gas, heat conduction is blocked and moisture is maintained for the stored material, making a long storage period possible. The storage method keeps the stored material less affected by the exterior temperature and moisture thereby minimizing the propagation of microorganism and the damage to the stored material due to over or less dryness. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises: a dodecagonal storage tank(1) of steel plate or metal wall, roof and bottom equipped with a uniform distributor(15), a delivery elevator for the cereal(14), automatic ejection valve(6) and safety valve(7) to keep a certain interior pressure, a control valve(8) for gas ejection when manual ejection is needed, gas ejection tube(9), cereal delivery tube(16), its discharge tube(21), its discharge control valve(22), its input tube(23), its input control valve(18), its circulation valve(17), a gas supply tube(3), tank pressure gauge(5), its valve(11) and gas supply equipment(4); and a gas supply tube(3) with supply holes(19) installed with a certain distance in six directions at front, back, left, right, top and bottom of the interior of the tank(1).
