PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for ensuring superior durability and sealing performance, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A gasket 1 is provide with a first rubber layer 7 and a second rubber layer 8 on a gasket base 2. A vulcanized rubber such as a fluorine vulcanized rubber is employed for the first rubber layer 7. A heated vulcanized silicon rubber is employed for the second rubber layer 8. When manufacturing a gasket 1, the first rubber layer is formed in a first process, thereafter heating the first rubber layer 7 for a prescribed time period in a heating process. Subsequently, the second rubber layer 8, consisting of vulcanized silicone rubber layer, is formed through the second process.
