PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction of a strong land boundary in preparation of housing sites. SOLUTION: A side ditch 1 is constructed on the land boundary 5 by using side ditch blocks 10 which each are formed by combining an earth retaining wall 20 with a main body 11 in one body, so that the earth retaining wall 20 serving as the land boundary 5 is constructed simultaneously with construction of the side ditch 1. Therefore, the land boundary 5 can be constructed at a very low cost in a short period of time. Further, a region, such as a private plot 2, which is filled and therefore slightly higher than a road 3, can be protected by the earth retaining wall 20, and prevented from infiltration of rainwater thereinto. Since the earth retaining wall 20 is integrally molded together with the side ditch block main body 11, it is prevented from being moved or detached from the main body 11 even if earth pressure is applied thereto or a shock is given by a vehicle running thereon.
