PURPOSE: A method for storing and managing a portable phone telephone directory based on the Internet is provided to store the telephone directory stored in a portable phone in a telephone directory database through the Internet and to download the telephone directory stored in the database in case that the memory of the portable phone is replaced with a new memory, due to the damage of the memory, etc. CONSTITUTION: A user accesses and joins the site of a telephone directory management server through the Internet using his portable phone(S101,S102). The portable phone receives data, such as a terminal authentication number, an ID, a password, etc., through the Internet and stores them in its internal memory(S103). If the user executes login using his portable phone(S104), the portable phone transmits the telephone directory stored in its memory to the telephone directory management server. The telephone directory management server stores it in a telephone directory database(S105). In case that the user should store the telephone directory again due to the loss of the portable phone or the damage of the memory(S106), the user logs in to the site(S107) and requests the telephone directory management server to transmit it(S108). The telephone directory management fetches the telephone directory from the telephone directory database and transmits it to the user's portable phone through the Internet. The portable phone receives the telephone directory(S109) and stores it in its memory(S110). |
