METHOD OF PRODUCING ORNAMENTAL GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of obtaining an ornamental glass having high strength and excellent in ornamentation by sintering a glass particle at a low sintering temperature only slightly higher than the softening point (720-730 deg.C) of a soda-lime silicate glass. SOLUTION: In this method of producing the ornamental glass, a mixture of 30-85 wt.% of a glass cullet having a particle diameter of >=2 mm and <=10 mm and 15-70 wt.% of a glass powder having a particle diameter of <=0.8 mm is sintered at a temperature of 740 to 780 deg.C.
