PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jib device for a wheel crane capable of automatically extracting a jib without deteriorating the hoisting capability. SOLUTION: A multi-stage boom 5 is telescopically stored in a basic boom 7, and the jib 13 is extractably stored in the telescopic boom. This jib device for the wheel crane is provided with a support 16 fixed to the basic boom 7 and supporting the jib 13 in the telescopic boom 5 and a chucking mechanism 17 provided at the rear end section of the jib 13 and capable of connecting the jib 13 to one of the support 16 and the moving boom 5. When the jib is to be extracted, the jib 13 is connected to the moving boom 5 side by the chucking mechanism 17 to follow the extension of the moving boom 5, and the jib 13 is extracted from the basic boom 7.
